Three security guards in Alor Setar were arrested for attempting to embezzle RM200,000 after filing a false robbery report. The suspects, aged 28 to 38, claimed their company van was robbed while transporting cash. Police became suspicious of their inconsistent statements, uncovered the scam, and recovered the stolen money within two hours. Two suspects tested positive for methamphetamine, and all three have been remanded for three days. They face up to 14 years in prison, whipping, and a fine if convicted of criminal breach of trust."
