The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a continuous rain warning for Johor until Friday, and for Sarawak and Sabah until Sunday. Affected areas in Johor include Mersing and Kota Tinggi.
In Sarawak, rain is expected to last until December 22, impacting regions like Kuching, Sibu, and Miri. Sabah’s west coast, including Ranau, Kota Belud, and Sandakan, will also experience heavy rainfall.
