Real Madrid Clinch Intercontinental Cup with 3-0 Win Over Pachuca

DOHA  — Real Madrid triumphed 3-0 over Mexico’s Pachuca to secure the Intercontinental Cup title in a one-sided final at Lusail Stadium. Kylian Mbappe, Rodrygo, and Vinicius Jr were the scorers in a dominant performance.

Madrid took control early, with Mbappe opening the scoring in the 37th minute after a brilliant team move involving Jude Bellingham and Vinicius Jr. Rodrygo doubled their lead in the 52nd minute with a stunning solo effort, curling a strike into the top corner.

Vinicius Jr sealed the victory in the 83rd minute with a penalty after Lucas Vazquez was fouled inside the box.

Despite some early chances for Pachuca, including shots from Oussama Idrissi and Luis Rodriguez, Thibaut Courtois kept them at bay. Real's commanding performance saw them secure their ninth global title, adding to their three Intercontinental Cups and five Club World Cups.

Rodrygo expressed his delight at winning another title, praising Vinicius and the team's strong performance.
