IPOH, Dec 23 — A 39-year-old off-duty police corporal tragically drowned after being swept away by strong currents while bathing with friends in an irrigation canal near Kampung Gajah yesterday.
His body was found at 4:55am today and handed over to police for further investigation. The victim, from Melaka Tengah police, had been home for a reunion with former schoolmates from Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Lada.
