Tragic Collision: Seven Lives Lost and 33 Injured in Ayer Keroh R&R Three-Vehicle Crash

ALOR GAJAH — A devastating accident on the North-South Expressway near Ayer Keroh R&R resulted in seven fatalities and 33 injuries. The collision occurred at Kilometre 204 last night, involving a tour bus with 27 passengers, a trailer, and a Toyota Estima MPV.

Melaka Fire and Rescue Department director, Mohd Pisar Aziz, reported that the deceased include three men, three women, and a baby girl. Five victims were from the Toyota Estima, while the tour bus driver and a female passenger also lost their lives.

All bodies have been transported to Melaka Hospital. Injured victims were taken to various hospitals: 17 to Melaka Hospital, 10 to Alor Gajah Hospital, and six to Hospital Pantai Ayer Keroh. The Fire and Rescue Department dispatched 27 personnel after receiving a distress call at 8:45 PM. The crash also caused significant traffic congestion on the highway, extending over 10 kilometers in both directions.
