A deadly pre-dawn fire in Ulu Tiram, Johor Baru, claimed the lives of three family members, including an 11-year-old girl. The fire broke out at around 2:46 am at a house on Jalan Limau Manis, Kampung Oren. Firefighters rescued a 13-year-old boy, believed to be the eldest son, who suffered burns to his face and hands and was rushed to Sultan Ismail Hospital. Sadly, the bodies of his mother, Ng Geok Choo, 63, his brother, Lee Chiw Yong, 30, and his niece, Chen Si Jing, 11, were found inside the home. The house was 80% destroyed by the flames, and the operation ended at 5:10 am.
