JOHOR BARU: A total of 15 vehicles were damaged after an Angsana tree fell on them in Jalan Kuning, Taman Pelangi, here yesterday.
A spokesperson for the Johor Fire and Rescue Department said the incident occurred due to heavy rain accompanied by a storm for about an hour.
He said the department received an emergency call at 5.04pm.
He added that 10 personnel and two fire engines were dispatched to the scene.
"Upon arrival, the operations team (PKO) found that a tree had indeed fallen.
"Two business premises and 15 vehicles were damaged by the fallen tree.
"However, no casualties were reported," he said.
He added that an operation to cut the tree was carried out.
