KUALA LUMPUR: Nine cars and eight motorcycles were damaged after being struck by a fallen tree at Block G9, Section 2, Wangsa Maju, here yesterday.

Kuala Lumpur Civil Defence Force officer major (PA) Ahmad Junaidi Dukut Soerharto said they received a report about the fallen tree at 11.43pm last night.

He said that Malaysian Civil Defence Force (CDF) personnel were dispatched to the location and, upon arrival, immediately began cutting and removing the fallen tree that had crushed the vehicles.

"A total of 17 vehicle owners were affected by the incident, comprising nine cars and eight motorcycles parked in the area.

"The operation to cut and remove the tree involved one officer and ten personnel," he said.
