PUTRAJAYA: Malaysia is keen to explore new areas of cooperation with the Maldives, including floating solar energy, defence, and digital technology, says Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.The prime minister said that based on the spirit of mutual benefit, both Malaysia and the Maldives — as maritime nations — had substantial potential for collaboration across a wide array of sectors."I am very pleased with the series of meetings we have had, including bilateral discussions with ministers."Our cooperation already covers various areas, such as education, tourism, and training."However, there are also new areas identified for expanded cooperation between Malaysia and the Maldives, including floating solar energy, defence, and digitalisation," he said. Anwar said this during a joint press conference held in conjunction with the four-day official visit of the President of the Republic of Maldives Dr Mohamed Muizzu, to Malaysia.
