KUALA LUMPUR — Kelantan police foiled a human smuggling attempt on May 18 after intercepting a Toyota Vellfire in Jeli carrying 15 undocumented migrants. The operation, led by Jeli police with state-level support, also saw the arrest of two Malaysians believed to be involved. The vehicle and all detainees were taken to the Jeli District Police HQ for investigation under anti-trafficking and immigration laws. The bust is part of ongoing efforts to curb cross-border crime in the region.
