KUALA LUMPUR — The MACC arrested six individuals, including a civil servant and a company director with the title “Datuk”, for allegedly receiving RM115,000 in bribes linked to government development and maintenance contracts since 2021. Among the suspects are a government engineer, a contractor, and a married couple acting as intermediaries. The arrests took place in Putrajaya on Tuesday during statement recordings. Five suspects were remanded for five days, and one for three. During "Op Kepala", MACC seized two Toyota Hilux vehicles, RM165,000 cash, and froze 95 bank accounts with RM6 million. Investigations are ongoing under Section 17(a) of the MACC Act 2009.
