Penang’s government is considering a full ban on vape sales if the upcoming full enforcement of the Control of Smoking Products Act 2024 doesn’t reduce usage. The law, effective from October 1, regulates vape sales and bans them to minors. Penang’s health committee chairman Daniel Gooi stressed the need for strategic measures to curb vaping and tackle issues like smuggling, aiming to protect public health, especially youth.
