From January to April 2025, Johor recorded 282 domestic violence cases. In response, the state government has intensified advocacy campaigns to protect women's rights and safety, said Women, Family, and Community Development Committee chair Khairin-Nisa Ismail.
Efforts include state-funded awareness videos, educational materials, and strategic media outreach. Over 8,200 people have participated in related programmes this year. The campaign aims to boost public awareness, offer guidance on support services, and strengthen prevention partnerships statewide.
