Police, the Tourism Ministry, and Tabung Haji are launching a joint task force to address rising concerns over stranded Haj pilgrims.
Set to operate 24/7 starting May 30 from KLIA, the task force will handle complaints, coordinate investigations, and take legal action against those behind fraudulent Haj packages.
The move, led by Bukit Aman’s Commercial Crime unit, aims to streamline responses and ensure effective enforcement. Authorities urge pilgrims to verify tour operators with Tabung Haji to avoid scams.
