Six people were injured in a collision involving five vehicles, including a Malaysian Navy government truck, near Simpang Tiga Jalan Teluk Baru in Langkawi.

Senior Fire Officer I Ahmad Aminuddin Abdul Rahim from the Kedah Fire and Rescue Department said they received a call about the road accident, which occurred around 3 PM yesterday and involved a Navy lorry and four cars."In this accident, which affected 30 people, five men and one woman sustained injuries," he said in a statement released yesterday.He added that over 40 personnel from the police, navy, Malaysian Civil Defence Force, and the Ministry of Health were involved in the rescue operation.Meanwhile, the Navy reported that the three-tonne lorry, which was transporting personnel for the LIMA’25 maritime segment operations, lost control and crashed while returning from the Al-Ehsan Taman Nyong Mosque after Friday prayers to Resort World Langkawi."There were no fatalities, and all 25 personnel involved were taken to the maritime division's medical facility for initial treatment. Two personnel were later transferred to Sultanah Maliha Hospital in Langkawi for further treatment due to leg injuries."A naval inquiry board will be formed to determine the actual cause of the incident, and the public is advised not to speculate or spread unverified information," the statement added.
