A 60-year-old insurance agency manager lost RM695,000 in a Facebook investment scam in Pahang. After downloading a suspicious app and making an initial RM5,000 investment, she received a small fake profit that encouraged her to invest more—totaling 22 transactions. When she tried to withdraw her funds last Friday, she was blocked and realized she had been scammed. The case is under police investigation for cheating.
