The High Court ruled in favor of Segambut MP Hannah Yeoh, ordering Universiti Utara Malaysia lecturer Dr. Kamarul Zaman Yusoff to pay RM400,000 for defamatory Facebook posts made in 2017.
Kamarul accused Hannah of pushing a Christian agenda through her political work and autobiography, claims the court found baseless. The suit, filed in 2022, was upheld by Judge Datuk Aliza Sulaiman, rejecting the lecturer’s defense.
