KUALA LUMPUR — Authorities conducted raids on 225 homes and businesses in Selayang Utara last night to tackle undocumented migrants.
The operation screened 1,435 people, mostly Myanmar nationals, including 160 children. Many were workers at the Selayang Wholesale Market. Some held UNHCR cards, now under verification by Immigration.
Officials also uncovered offences like overstaying, tampered utilities, illegal water connections, and unlicensed businesses. The raids followed public complaints and involved 560 personnel from multiple agencies.
