Heavy rains in Sikkim triggered landslides near the Teesta River, especially in Chatten and Lachung areas. The disaster claimed the lives of three Indian Army personnel Havildar Lakhwinder Singh, Lance Naik Munish Thakur, and porter Abhishek Lakada.Nine others remain missing, while four were rescued with minor injuries. Rescue teams are working around the clock in difficult terrain to locate the remaining missing personnel.
