The Philippines has signed a \$700 million deal with Korea Aerospace Industries for 12 more FA-50 fighter jets, to be delivered by 2030. The new jets will feature upgrades like aerial refueling and advanced weapons systems. This follows the March crash of one FA-50 during an anti-rebel mission, which killed two crew members. The crash was blamed on terrain and visibility issues, not mechanical failure.
