KOTA BARU — A last-minute change saved Alia, a first-year UPSI student, from being on the fatal bus that crashed early today, killing 15 people.
Originally planning to return on the bus after Aidiladha celebrations, she changed her plans and was stunned to find her name mistakenly listed among the victims. Many people called her, believing she was involved.
The bus, carrying UPSI students from Terengganu, collided with a Perodua Alza on the East-West Highway near Tasik Banding, Gerik. Forty-eight people were involved, with several injured and taken to Gerik Hospital. The condition of the MPV occupants remains unknown.
