KUALA LUMPUR — Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Minister Datuk Armizan Mohd Ali clarified that subsidised LPG usage falls under the Control of Supplies Regulations (Amendment) 2021, not the 2022 Act.
He stressed that there was no mention of the 2022 law during his June 5 press conference and urged against public confusion.
Armizan confirmed that micro and small food traders can continue using subsidised LPG cylinders without a special permit until the amended regulation is finalised in October. No legal action will be taken during this transition period.
