He then delivered a hat-trick of blockbusters with Vijay—Theri (₹150 crore), Mersal (₹240 crore), and Bigil (₹305 crore). His Bollywood debut Jawan (2023), starring Shah Rukh Khan, became a record-breaking hit, collecting over ₹1117.39 crore worldwide. Atlee is now working on a grand-scale film featuring Allu Arjun and Deepika Padukone, produced by Sun Pictures.
