IPOH — Police will seek a remand order for the bus driver involved in the fatal UPSI student crash once he is discharged from Taiping Hospital, where he is being treated for hand injuries.
Perak police chief Datuk Noor Hisam Nordin said the driver has yet to give a statement and action will proceed after his release. The 1am crash on the East-West Highway near Gerik involved a chartered bus and a Perodua Alza, killing 15 UPSI students and injuring 33 others.
