SUNGAI PETANI — A lorry and trailer collided last night at KM106.8 of the North-South Expressway (southbound), near the Sungai Petani Utara exit, injuring a lorry driver and a Myanmar worker.
Guar Chempedak Fire and Rescue chief Mohd Happyzam Abd Rasid said five people were involved in the 8.51pm crash. Two men in their 30s sustained minor injuries, while the trailer driver (49) and two other Myanmar nationals were unharmed.
All victims were conscious and exited their vehicles before rescuers arrived. The injured were taken to hospital, and the operation concluded at 10.11pm.
