KUALA LUMPUR — A pre-dawn fire gutted the administrative building of Sekolah Menengah Sains Alam Shah in Cheras today.
The Fire and Rescue Department received a call at 4.15am and dispatched 44 personnel from four stations along with seven fire engines and an ambulance.
The building housed key facilities like the teachers’ room, lab, meeting and records rooms. The fire was contained by 5.08am and fully put out by 6.18am.
No injuries were reported. The cause and damage estimates are under investigation.
