KUALA LUMPUR — The Attorney General’s Chambers (AGC) has rejected Datuk Seri Najib Razak’s request to drop three money laundering charges involving RM27 million from SRC International.

During case management today, the prosecution said it's ready to proceed but requested extended trial dates due to the large volume of documents.

Najib’s lawyer, Tan Sri Muhammad Shafee Abdullah, asked the court to grant a discharge not amounting to acquittal (DNAA), as the trial has been delayed since 2019. The prosecution, however, opposed the DNAA and left the final decision to the court.

High Court Judge K. Muniandy will decide on the DNAA application on June 20.
