SHAH ALAM — Starting October 1, tour and express buses, as well as heavy vehicles over 3,500kg registered from 2015 onwards, must have their Speed Limitation Devices (SLDs) inspected and verified every two years, said Transport Minister Anthony Loke.
The first enforcement phase will ensure SLDs are activated and functioning. Verification must come from JPJ-recognised manufacturers, certified workshops, or technical services. The verified document must be presented during vehicle inspections, permit renewals, and kept in the vehicle at all times for checks by the Road Transport Department (JPJ).
