KUALA LUMPUR — The Education Ministry will expand teaching hours for the Reproductive and Social Health Education (PEERS) module under the 2027 school curriculum to raise awareness on reproductive health and prevent sexual harassment and online predation.
Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek said all schools must follow the PEERS guidelines, and psychosocial support services will also be strengthened to assist students.
She stressed the urgency of reporting paedophile social media pages targeting students and called on parents to play an active role at home in educating and safeguarding their children.
"Protecting a child’s dignity starts with us all," she said.
