KUALA LUMPUR — Three homes in Taman Serumpun, Bukit Mertajam, were damaged early yesterday after suspected firecrackers were thrown at them, causing explosions that wrecked ceilings, yards, and vehicles.

Police believe the incident is linked to a debt dispute. Two suspects were seen fleeing in a car, and investigations are ongoing.

The case is being probed under Section 435 of the Penal Code and Section 6 of the Explosives Act 1957. Authorities are urging witnesses to contact Seberang Perai Tengah police or the lead investigating officer.
