Man killed, two injured in Machang head-on collision.

A man was killed after being pinned in the driver's seat during a collision involving two vehicles along Jalan Machang–Kuala Krai, near a secondary school here, early this morning.

Machang Fire and Rescue Station operations commander Mohd Suhaimi Razali said a team of six firefighters was deployed to the scene after the station received a distress call at 12.43am.

"Upon arrival, we found that the crash involved a Honda Accord and a Perodua Axia, which had collided head-on.

"The driver of the Honda Accord was pronounced dead at the scene after being pinned in his seat."The driver and a passenger in the Perodua Axia, who were also trapped, sustained injuries," he said.

Firefighters used specialised rescue equipment to extricate all victims before handing them over to Health Ministry medical team.

"The deceased was handed over to the police for further action," he added.

The operation concluded at 2.13am.
