Sekar Kammula, the director of Kuberan, made Dhanush play a beggar in the film, which stars Rashmika Mandanna and Nagarjuna. Sekar, from Andhra Pradesh, started as an engineer but later studied filmmaking in the US. His debut film Dollar Dreams won a National Award.
Known for strong female roles and beautiful love stories, Sekar is praised for his kindness and filmmaking skills. For Kuberan, he even took Dhanush to beg on the streets to prepare for the role.
Dhanush highly respects Sekar and it’s expected Kuberan might earn him another National Award.
