Indiana Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton exited Game 7 of the NBA Finals early after suffering an Achilles injury during a drive to the basket against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Sunday.
Haliburton had a strong start, sinking three three-pointers within five minutes, but slipped and fell midway through the first quarter. He was visibly emotional as medical staff attended to him and later left the court with assistance, a towel covering his head.
Broadcasts confirmed he would not return. A contender for Finals MVP, Haliburton had also dealt with a calf injury in Game 5.
