KUALA LUMPUR — Batik Air's KL-Dubai flight OD713 was forced to return to KLIA early Tuesday after unexpected airspace closures over Qatar and the UAE made it unable to continue its route.

The airline complied with international safety advisories and prioritized the safety of all onboard. Upon return, passengers were provided with hotel stays, meals, transport, and the choice of a full refund or rebooking.

Both airspaces have since reopened, with Batik Air resuming Dubai flights from Wednesday. The disruption followed Iran's missile strike on a US base in Doha, triggering wider air travel impacts amid the ongoing Iran-Israel conflict.
