In the past, Arjun used to release five to six films every year. However, these days, he rarely appears in films, and it's become rare for him to have even one release per year. His most recent big film was Veedhamudhal.

After 2024, Arjun was seen in Akathiya, starring Jeeva, released last month. When asked why he's no longer acting as much, it turns out that he is preparing to shift towards directing and producing films. He is currently directing a film titled Seetha Payanam, where his daughter Aishwarya plays the lead heroine. The film is not a mythological story, but rather focuses on the events Aishwarya's character, Seetha, experiences during her journey.

In addition to directing, Arjun is also attempting to produce films. Recently, he visited Dubai for discussions with Paris Film company regarding film production. He is also planning to produce a film with Vijay Sethupathi, for which he has given him a green light.

Furthermore, Arjun is considering directing the film himself. He and Vijay Sethupathi share a close friendship, and it's expected that this collaboration will soon lead to the making of a film. The project is anticipated to begin after the completion of Seetha Payanam.
