EAST RUTHERFORD — PSG coach Luis Enrique called Wednesday’s Club World Cup semi-final against Real Madrid a “special” occasion, as his side look to cap a historic season with another final.

Speaking at MetLife Stadium, Enrique downplayed his past tensions with Kylian Mbappe — now at Real — saying, “That’s behind us.” He praised the significance of facing Madrid: “They’re the most decorated club in the world. Playing them is always special.”

PSG, fresh off their first Champions League title, will be without suspended defenders Willian Pacho and Lucas Hernandez. Real, under new coach Xabi Alonso, arrived late in New York due to weather delays and did not speak to media.

The winner will face Chelsea, who beat Fluminense 2-0 in Tuesday’s other semi-final, in Sunday’s final.
