BERN: Despite a shaky group stage, Germany are determined to bounce back in their Women's Euro quarter final clash against France, said coach Christian Wueck.
Germany, eight-time champions, finished second in Group C after a heavy 4-1 loss to Sweden and a red card for Carlotta Wamser. In contrast, France topped their group with nine points, making them favourites for today’s match in Basel.
Wueck admitted France’s edge on paper but believes his team has regained focus and confidence after five days of preparation.
"The disappointment from the Sweden game is behind us, and the will to win is back," Wueck said, adding that Germany are ready to give their best to secure a semi-final spot.
