ALOR STAR: Four men linked to the death of police corporal Mohd Hafizul Izham Mazlan earlier this month, following a botched house burglary, will be charged in the magistrate's court here tomorrow.

The suspects are expected to face charges under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.

If found guilty, they will face either the death penalty or life imprisonment.

Kedah police chief Commissioner Adzli Abu Shah confirmed the matter when contacted today.

All four were arrested shortly after the incident on Aug 7.

Hafizul was one of the policemen from the state Criminal Investigation Department (CID) who responded to a tip-off about a suspected break-in.

Hafizul, 35, died at the scene after being struck by a vehicle driven by one of the suspects.
