Marcus Rashford marked his return to England in style, scoring his first goals for Barcelona in a 2-1 Champions League win over Newcastle at St James' Park. The 27-year-old netted twice in nine second-half minutes to seal victory in Barca's group stage opener, also ending his personal Champions League goal drought dating back to 2021. On loan from Manchester United, Rashford’s performance will sting for United fans, whose club missed out on European football this season. Anthony Gordon pulled one back late for Newcastle, but it wasn’t enough to deny Rashford a memorable night back on English soil.
