The Malaysian Football League (MFL) has suspended Kedah Darul Aman and Perak from all its competitions for two seasons after both clubs failed to secure the required National Licence for the 2025–2026 campaign. The suspension, effective from the 2025–2026 to 2026–2027 seasons, was confirmed following the MFL’s 15th board of directors meeting. The sanctions deepen the ongoing crisis in Malaysian football, with Sri Pahang FC also receiving a one-year suspension after voluntarily withdrawing from the M-League. The bans raise serious concerns over club governance and financial compliance as MFL looks to enforce stricter standards across its domestic competitions.
