KULAI — Kulai MP and Deputy Communications Minister Teo Nie Ching has successfully completed the installation of 35 solar-powered street lamps under the ‘Sinar Harapan’ initiative. The RM122,500 project spans seven locations within the Kulai constituency and was fully completed on September 11. Each 60-watt solar lamp stands six metres tall, operates from 7pm to 7am, and can last up to two days without sunlight. Teo said the initiative was launched in response to community requests for improved public lighting and safety. The lamps come with a two-year warranty and contractor support for quick repairs.
