KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 5 — A woman and her four-year-old daughter were found dead in a suspected murder-suicide in Taman Perak yesterday, believed to have been triggered by the woman’s distress over relationship issues.
A suicide note found at the scene revealed that the 30-year-old woman apologised and said she could no longer cope with her emotional pain, the New Straits Times reported.
“I apologise to everyone, this is my ‘final journey’ and I can no longer endure the heartache,” the note read.
She also said that she felt compelled to take her children with her as she believed they could not be left with anyone.
The woman expressed gratitude to her friends and stressed that they had nothing to do with her decision.Police officers who arrived at the scene around midnight found the factory worker and her daughter both dead.
Her seven-year-old son survived after an attempt on his life failed and was found with injuries.Kulim police chief Superintendent Zulkifli Azizan said the case is being investigated as murder and attempted murder, and the bodies have been sent to Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital in Alor Star for post-mortem while the boy is being treated at Kulim Hospital.
