Golf star Bryson DeChambeau has expressed deep frustration with the LIV Golf League following their sudden shift to a 72-hole format. The breakaway league announced the change in an attempt to secure Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR) points, but the move has alienated some of its biggest stars.

DeChambeau stated that he "didn’t sign up for this," noting that the original appeal of the league was its unique 54-hole, fast-paced structure. While he remains under contract for the 2026 season, he hinted that his long-term future with the league is now uncertain once his current deal concludes.

This public dissent marks the first major internal rift for the Saudi-backed circuit since its inception. Analysts suggest that if more marquee players express similar dissatisfaction, it could lead to a massive reshuffling of professional golf talent by the end of the year.
