Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim addressed Parliament today to dismiss opposition claims that Malaysia ceded land to Indonesia during recent border negotiations. He clarified that the border alignments were guided by historical conventions and actually resulted in Malaysia securing an additional 785 hectares of land.
The Prime Minister criticized opposition members as "lazy" for not reviewing the full facts before making public accusations of betrayal. He emphasized that the sovereign interests of Malaysia, particularly regarding the Sarawak border, remain fully protected under the current diplomatic framework.
