Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a high-level "four-eyed" meeting with Malaysian Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim today at the Seri Perdana Complex. The visit, Modi's first to Malaysia since 2015, aims to elevate the bilateral relationship to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.

The discussions focused heavily on trade, digital finance, and maritime security. Both leaders are exploring new avenues in semiconductors and renewable energy, seeking to leverage India's growing economic resilience alongside Malaysia's strategic position in the Southeast Asian tech supply chain.

Later today, PM Modi is expected to address a community program in Kuala Lumpur, highlighting the role of the Indian diaspora as a bridge between the two nations. This visit is seen as a cornerstone of India's "Act East" policy, reinforcing New Delhi's commitment to regional stability and economic growth.
