Travel preparations for the festive season are in full swing, with authorities expecting over two million vehicles to flood Penang between February 15 and 20. To ease the travel burden, the second Penang bridge has announced a 50% discount on toll rates for Chinese New Year travellers.  

Meanwhile, the Home Ministry is cracking down on foreigners abusing social visit passes to operate illegal businesses, following a direct order from the Prime Minister to intensify immigration enforcement. This initiative aims to protect local businesses and ensure that immigration laws are strictly followed by all visitors.
