U.S. officials are preparing to convene the first formal "Board of Peace" meeting in Washington next week to finalize the reconstruction and security plan for Gaza. The plan, endorsed by UN Security Council Resolution 2803, involves an International Stabilization Force (ISF) and a multi-billion dollar funding pledge. While Israel has reopened the Rafah border crossing for a limited number of medical patients as a gesture of hope, Prime Minister Netanyahu has yet to sign the official Board of Peace charter.

The situation remains "perilously fragile" according to UN Secretary-General António Guterres. The U.S. is reportedly seeking force pledges from countries like Italy, Kosovo, and Kazakhstan to help secure the enclave. Meanwhile, President Trump has issued a stark warning to Iran, stating that failure to reach a new nuclear agreement would lead to "very traumatic" consequences, further raising the stakes in the region.
