The Ministry of Health has issued an urgent public health advisory following the detection of ten new Tuberculosis (TB) clusters. These clusters are spread across seven states, with Selangor and Johor reporting the highest concentrations. One cluster in Johor alone has 37 confirmed cases.

With the Chinese New Year holiday rush beginning, health authorities are particularly concerned about the spread in crowded public spaces and transport hubs. Health Minister Dr. Dzulkefly Ahmad has urged anyone with a persistent cough lasting more than two weeks or night sweats to seek immediate screening. The government is also intensifying screenings at high-risk locations like worker dormitories and detention centers to prevent a wider outbreak.
