Malaysia’s rising motorcycling star, Hakim Danish, has caught the attention of international scouts during today's official pre-season testing for the 2026 Asia Talent Cup. Representing the ZK Racing team, Hakim clocked one of the fastest lap times at the Sepang International Circuit, signaling his readiness to challenge for the overall title this season. His performance is seen as a major boost for Malaysia's presence in junior world-class racing.
The Sepang International Circuit (SIC) management also confirmed today that ticket sales for the 2026 Malaysian MotoGP have surpassed expectations, with a 15% increase compared to last year. This surge is attributed to the growing "Hakim-mania" and the government's continued support for local talent through the Motorsports Development Programme. Fans are optimistic that Hakim’s success will eventually lead him to the Moto3 world stage by 2027.
