A 50-year-old contractor was robbed of RM9,500 in cash and his vehicle by a duo wielding machetes (parang) in a Banting palm oil estate today. The victims were reportedly approached by the suspects who feigned being "lost travellers" seeking directions before pulling out weapons and tying the victim up.
The suspects escaped with the victim's cash, a mobile phone, and his Toyota Hilux, though police later recovered the vehicle abandoned in Puchong. An intensive manhunt is currently underway to identify and apprehend the suspects involved in this daring daylight robbery.
